A little bit about me:
Hi, I’m Crystal, a presenter, event’s emcee and writer from Brighton in the UK. My strength and happiness lies amongst communication, public speaking, creativity and philanthropy. I am a people person through and through and love to interact with all types of cultures and support the lives of others.
As a presenter and writer, I am most known for work at Khaleej Times, the UAE’s longest running English newspaper. Here, I was a primary part of the start up phase of the multimedia department which I am proud to say, is still thriving today. Alongside news anchoring, production and video editing in various sectors including sustainability, entertainment, human interest, I wrote print articles for the WKND magazine (lifestyle), Uptown magazine (community), City Times magazine (celebrity news) and Young Times magazine (education). Here I also interviewed celebrities such as Mo Farah, Rio Ferdinand, Patrick Stewart, Priyanka Chopra, Irrfran Khan.
My events emcee work has included a variety of high branded corporate awards ceremonies, gala dinners and exhibitions for the likes of Nikon, Jaguar, Microsoft and Google, to team building for Kraft, roadshows for Mercedes Benz detour and Pringles, alongside children’s educational theatre and parties for the likes of Zespri Kiwi and Barbie.
I was a volunteer ambassador for The World Green Citizen Middle East between 2015-2017, a working volunteer for Galbokka sea turtle and rehabilitation centre in Sri Lanka, in December 2022, and most recently worked for Naankuse foundation in Namibia, supporting the lives of endangered and threatened wildlife species.
My most recent venture is combining my love for exploration, the desire for understanding and the importance of philanthropy through a travel blog. Follow me on Instagram and Facebook alongside this website for more.
